You may want to stop at a local market in Klong Thom on your way back. Koh Lanta is actually divided into two separate islands: Koh Lanta Noi (noi = little) and Koh Lanta Yai (yai = big). Exploring the empty roads by motorbike (some of which are being overtaken by vegetation!) we didn't spot one Western restaurant or hotel along the way.

Koh Lanta is located on the South West coast of Thailand not far from Phuket and Koh Phi Phi Islands.

A beautiful, seemingly unknown place located in a region known as the epicenter of Thailand tourism. On the northernmost area of the Mu Koh Lanta National Park on Koh Lanta Yai is the Tham Khao Mai Kaew Cave. Time from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta should be around four hours, but it always manages to take longer.
