The long stretch of beach at Koh Yao Yai Village is a playground for beach volleyball, mini-soccer, jogging and fun games in the water. It tends to cater to a higher end and sporty crowd and has maintained a peaceful elegance that I hadn't found yet in Thailand. Two relatively massive islands east of Phuket are award winning islands in the area of conservation and eco-tourism.
